Skincare review on Nixoderm

I always wanted to have flawless skin however my skin has always been troubled with eczema since young. It's pretty much hassle. It often breakout especially when the weather is extremely dry.

Something which isn't exactly a high end or luxurious product but it certainly does the job it's meant to do! I keep getting questions on this product, be it through email or personal message. So here's a full review of those who wants to know more about it.

Do note that while this product is touted as a cream to battle a whole range of skin problems which include pimples, blackheads, rashes, ringworm of the skin and scalp. I've only used as for my eczema. Thus, this review of Nixoderm is solely as an eczema treatment product and i will not be touching on whether it is effective in treating any other kind of skin aliments.

Firstly, this product is packaged in lavish design and attractive contemporary illustration and font upon it. The little tin looks lethal, like a 70's chemical product or something and this can be hard to spot on your drugstore shelves so keep your eyes open! The outcome is pretty good. I would say the best remedy i have used so far. I know nothing can cure or clear spots miraculously overnight however, it definitely cleared them up dramatically. Putting the Nixoderm on, they have become less sore, red, reduced in size and some have gone in matter of days.

Secondly, the texture is unlike any eczema treatment product i have used. It is very thick cream that has little hard gritty bits in it. I'm not too sure whats' in it as it doesn't really bother me much. At first touch, it may seem a little hard so you may have to press down a little harder than with normal cream products to scrape some of it out.

I don't use this product in the day because it will grease up and leave a white cast. (Unless you don't mind heading out with white patches on your skin)

For those who are curious about the 3 active ingredients of Nixoderm, they are Benzoic Acid (6%), titanium Dioxide (10%), and Salicylic Acid (2.5%).

I have used Nixoderm for more than 10years. I just replenish my stock about 1 week ago, and look how little it has gone down? It is very cheap (Probably about $2+, I am not sure about the exact amount because it has always been bought by my mum). I don't know if this works for you, no one does unless you try it yourself. All i can tell you is that it works for me and everything that i have shared here is based on my skin reaction. Please make what you can of it and practice discretion. Nothing in this world is a miracle product that will perform well universally. Nixoderm is quite easily attainable at most drugstores such as Guardians and Watsons. Even if it isn't effective on you, it's no great financial loss! :)

Life

We can never turn back the pages of time,
through we may wish to relieve a happy moment
or say good bye just one last time,
we never can,
because the sands of time continue to fall
and we cannot turn the hourglass over.
Life is like a camera...
Focus on what's important,
Capture the good times,
Develop from the negatives,
and if things don't work out,
TAKE ANOTHER SHOT.

Review on 'LUNASOL' skin contrast face powder

A face powder-SPF25 that contains micro-particle powder than meltingly blends with the skin, leaving it crystal clear and elegant looking. For a velvety smooth texture, as if a translucent veil lies over the skin.

Ingredients: MicaLauroyl LysineZinc Myristate, Silk Powder (Serica), Mimechicone, Sodium Dehydroacatate, Methylparaben,EthylparabenPropylparabenButylparaben, Aluminum Stearoyl Glutamate, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate.
Country origin: Japan

How to use: using the powder puff
1) Begin with larger areas
Take up some face powder using the powder puff and rub it with your hand to ensure that the puff holds the powder. Apply the powder along the contours of your face, beginning with larger areas such as cheeks.
2) For smaller area, fold the powder puff into two
For your T-zone and the area under your eyes and smaller areas such as around your nostrils, fold the powder puff in two and use the rounded edge to firmly apply the powder. Lastly, use your hands to check that your skin feels smooth to the touch. Brush off any excess powder for a beautiful finish.

Alternative ways: using the brush
1) For the area around your eyes, apply by turning the brush
Take up some face powder on a large brush, shaking off any excess powder. Allow the brush to rest gently on the skin around your eye, and turn the brush, moving it from the inner to the outer corner of your eye. Do not pull the brush away from your skin while applying the powder. (Pulling the brush away from your skin or pressing too hard can cause unevenness. Move the brush smoothly along the contours of your face.)
2) For larger areas, apply in a circular motion
For larger areas such as your cheeks and forehead, apply the face powder gently in a wide, circular motion. Be careful not to disturb the foundation underneath. Finally, use your hands to check that your skin feels smooth to the touch.

LUNASOL has great base products. This is the best loose powder. It beats Laura Mercier's, which is touted by many to be the finest milled in the market. Don't listen to those people. This is much, much, better. It's extremely pricey but last quite a long time - I'd estimate mine at a about one and the half years?
The great thing about this powder is that it melts right into your skin, such that when you run a fingertip over your face, it literally feels velvety smooth. It looks that way too! There are light reflecting particles that brighten the face and make it look alive. It doesn't cake or crease and stays perfect throughout the day.
So far it has not clog any of my pores- makes my face stay oil-free for hours without blotting & touch-up. How great is it.
The difference between 02 (Natural Beige) and (01 Translucent) is the color. It depends on what you like. if you want a more "white" look, take 01. I prefer a more natural look, so I picked 02. You should pick 02 if the color of your foundation exactly matches your skin or is lighter than your skin tone, because 01 has a lightening effect.

Where to find the product: My sister bought it for me so i have exactly no idea where she ordered it from however you can easily get yours from Takashimaya Department Store(Takashimaya Shopping Centre). Otherwise, you can purchase from their website- http://lunasol-net.com/en/index.html
