NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto Circolo Coffee Machine {Review}

The NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® is a beverage brewing system. It makes hot and cold drinks, with a 15 bar pressure system that is comparable to coffeehouse machines. Innovative, easy-to-use capsule system, exclusive to NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto®, is specifically designed to ensure that each cup you make is fresh and contains only the best ingredients. It prepares each drink in less than a minute. It's a dead-simple system to make a single cup of coffee-house class drink, minus the barista, the mess, and for the most part, the danger associated with espresso machines, milk foamers, coffee grinders, etc. Once you get the hang of it, the Gusto actually does what it claims. It’s a match made in coffee-heaven!

There are currently 17 beverages you can make with the Gusto. I'll come back to the flavor choice in a bit, let's focus for now how it all works.

Each beverage uses one or two capsules. If the beverage has a milk component, you will use two capsules to make it. If not, you just use one.

So, for example, 'MOCHA' uses two capsules. In a box, there are 16 capsules. You can get them at: https://www.dolce-gusto.com.sg/EN/Pages/home.aspx. Single boxes for $10.90 only.

Each beverage comes with instructions on its box. The Gusto also includes a manual showing how to make each beverages, but it seems like the instructions don't match exactly. For best results, go with the instructions printed on the capsule box.

The tank is a self-contained clear plastic. You can't fill it up while it is attached to the machine. You must remove it. Fill the Gusto with water. You can make 3-4cups with one tank of water.

When you hit the power button to turn it on, it takes a few seconds to warm up before turning green so usually it's ready to go by the time you finish the next step.

Flip up the release

Pull the tray out

Insert a capsule in the tray

Set to your desired level to get your perfect coffee. Press down the release. In this case.. I want my drink to be steaming hot so I pressed the red button. (NOTERed button for hot & blue button for cold). And...you are ready to go!

Once you are done filing a capsule, flip up the release, pull the tray and dump the spent capsule into the bin. FOR SAFETY PURPOSES: The capsule is HOT and still has liquid in it, and so some care (and adult supervision) is a good idea.

Hit those marks exactly and.....you get this!
(YUMMY!)

There are 17 different types of capsules available for the Nescafe Dolce Gusto.
(Classic Black): Espresso intenso, Espresso, Lungo, Espresso Ristretto
(Frothy and Milky): Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato, Cafe Au Lait
(Chocolatey Indulgence): Chococino & Mocha
(Cool and Refreshing): Cappuccino Ice & Nestea Iced Peach Tea
(Surprising and Seasonal): Tea Latte, Caramel Latte Macchiato, Chai Tea Latte, Vanilla Latte Macchiato & Green Tea Latte

I am not a fan of coffee but overall, i am pretty impressed with the Dolce Gusto. Dolce Gusto has been in near daily use. It's simple, it's instant gratification, it's easy to keep clean and it delivers 17 types of beverage any time you want going from cold start to steaming drink in less than a minute.

You do need to stay with the machine while it's running, because it makes drinks ridiculously fast. There is also a definite learning curve, but once you figure out how to eyeball the right portions, you end up with some darn tasty beverages. I have enjoyed each of the capsule varieties that I've tried thus far. The green tea latte is a favorite for both my siblings and I. The other various coffees like Chococino and Mocha are good too. The frothy milk has a slight hint of sweetness to it and comes out just the right consistency.

The Nescafe Dolce Gusto comes in a few different styles with 12 FREE capsule variety pack.
