{Mummy & Daddy's birthday celebration} Jade Restaurant Dinner Buffet @ Fullerton

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MUMMY & DADDY! :)

Celebrated Mummy & Daddy's birthday @ The Fullerton Hotel on Sunday night. The ambience is both elegant and refined, and the service is attentive but never intrusive. The food is splendid, especially the yummy desserts!

This is one A La Carte dinner buffet you don’t want to give a miss! You can order as many servings as you can, from the selection of more than 38 dishes, encompassing appetizers, soups, main courses, rice and noodle dishes, and desserts, each meticulously prepared by Chef Leong Chee Yeng and his outstanding culinary team.

Hot & Sour Seafood Soup
Something different from the usual tom yum soup. In Jade's restaurant, the Hot and Sour Seafood Soup includes Roasted Pork Belly, Sautéed Chicken with Lemongrass and Dried Chili Vinaigrette, Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet, Sautéed Pork Ribs in Coffee Sauce and Fragrant Wok-Fried Rice with Seafood.
It was so delicious that i ordered a second portion soon after.
{MUST TRY!!!}

Deep-fried Prawns with coated Wasabi mayonnaise
Everything combined well. The succulent prawns were fried till a considerable coating of crisp on their exterior, while hiding a chunky serving of prawn beneath. The Wasabi Mayo was pungent enough to provide for the perfect final touch to the creation.
So delicious!!! Ordered a second portion soon after we've finished our first plate.
{MUST-TRY!!!}

Roasted Five-spiced Crispy Pork Belly
Extremely tender meat with crispy exterior. This is one of the best Chinese style pork bellies i ever had. You can taste the smooth transition from crispy skin, lean meat, to fats, to the more tender under layer.

Steamed Abalone Siew Mai
Juicy Siew Mai with a piece of small abalone on top. Abalone is tender, and overall, this is good.

Golden “Man Tou” stuffed with Chili Crab Meat ($2.80++ per piece)
Apart from the array of free-flow items, there are a couple of items in each category that requires an additional charge for every add-on. The Man tou bun itself was no doubt, done really well and fried crisp and the filling was full. I had constantly sung praises of.

Sautéed sliced Beef in Spring Onion and Ginger
The meat is really tender. It melts straight in your mouth after your first bite.
{I'm still wondering on how they actually get this so tender...}

Sautéed Pork Ribs in Coffee Sauce
A very special combination of pork ribs with coffee sauce. In terms of tenderness, i think this is the complete opposite as compared to Sautéed beef. I only took a small bite because i think the coffee sauce was a little too sweet.

Steamed Chilean Sea bass with Preserved Olives
Loved the light refreshing sauce. Very rich and fresh fish that goes well with the simple spring onion garnish and chili.

Sautéed Prawn with Scramble Silken Egg
The highlight of the Sautéed Prawn with Scramble Silken Egg dish turns out to be the superlatively rendered scrambled egg. Ambrosial in texture and taste,  never had good scrambled eggs before.

Pan-fried “Pi Pa” Bean Curd in Oyster Sauce
It's definitely a 'MUST-TRY'

Shrimp Wanton in Spicy Vinaigrette
Rather generously stuffed with shrimps, the Chili Vinegar dressing did decent enough to add a more interesting element (to the taste buds) for the dish.
Very spicy √

Fried Spring Rolls
Fried perfectly well, crispy on the outside. Taste good.

Steamed Crystal Shrimp Dumplings
A classic Dim sum item, fresh and succulent prawns were encased in a thin and fine flour skin.
Best dim sum ever! {YUMMY!}

Sweet and Sour Chicken
This may seem like a simple home-made dish but, the taste in Jade Restaurant is really different.
The distinct sweetness and the sour tang complemented well together, giving rise to a full-flavored and pungent sauce to accompany the tender chicken servings.

Crispy Bean Curd with Chili Fragrant Salt
The bean curd is fried perfectly, making to the extend that it's really crispy. This appetizer is simple yet nice.

Sautéed Live Prawn with Spicy Pumpkin Sauce
It looks pretty ordinary with a boring appearance. However, the flavors are something else altogether.
The Spicy pumpkin sauce was tasty and had that sweetness which goes well with seafood. The prawn is very fresh too. Just be quick and eat it while the shells are still edible. That way, you will not have to dispose off smears of that wonderfully buttery and fragrant sauce.

Black pepper noodle
Simple appetizer.

Sautéed Beef
Meat is tender, taste good!

Sautéed Diced Chicken with Lemongrass And Dried Chili Vinaigrette
One of the best Sautéed Diced Chicken! The sauce is nice & the chicken is tender!
YUMMY!!!
{MUST-TRY}

From top left: Shaved Coconut ice with fresh strawberries, seasonal fruits platter, Hot walnut cream with Black sesame dumpling, Almond cream with Yam pasta and Chilled cream of mango with lime jelly.
{BEST DESSERTS! THUMBS UP!!! MUST TRY!!!}

Shaved Coconut ice with fresh strawberries
Coconut flavored ice cream, topped with nata de coco and fresh strawberries.
Good dessert! Really delicious! We ordered a second portion soon after!
Hot walnut cream with Black sesame dumpling
The walnut cream is thick and smooth, good as it is not too sweet!
Almond cream with Yam pasta
Perfect combination of Almond with yam. I'd love this the most! Taste really good!
 Chilled cream of mango with lime jelly
A much more refreshing version with that tinge of sour after-taste with the mango cubes.

Jade’s A La Carte Dinner Buffet is priced very competitively at $58++ and with a generally wide selection of dishes to choose from, that makes the dinner trip all the more worth it.
I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner. Those who have yet to visit Jade Restaurant, I reckon that you should :) {Highly Recommended!!}
